We now offer shed roof re-felting for suitable timber sheds made by other manufacturers
Shed roof leaking or coming loose?
If your shed is still in good condition but it's roof covering is worn or weather damaged re-felting will extend it's useful life without the need to replace the whole building, subject to other maintenance also being undertaken when necessary.
Don't let a damaged or worn roof cause expensive or uneconomical repairs down the line.
Timely re-felting of your garden shed will save you money in the long run by preventing damage caused by leaks. These aren't always obvious to begin with, they become evident when timbers turn black in colour and are clearly starting to rot causing a damp/wet interior for your stored items, not good to say the least.
What to look out for when it's not obvious
Nothing obvious but leaking roof
Porous surface on closer inspection
Identifying an issue on a shed roof is easy when the felt is clearly damaged. Sometimes the roof covering still looks serviceable but on closer inspection you can see its reached the end of its life.
Over time rolled felt degrades with the bitumen getting thinner and thinner and so leading to a porous surface even when you can still see the mineral top layer. It's time to replace.

How it works
- Show us your shed - Send your postcode, approximate shed size and photos of the whole building, roof and underside of the roof where accessible. Take photos safely from ground level.
- Receive clear advice and a written quote - We will review the condition and access. If a site visit is required before we can confirm a price we'll contact you to arrange.
- Agree the work and book a date - Once you accept the quotation and have paid the deposit we'll arrange a suitable appointment and explain how to prepare the area. Roofing dates are weather dependant and may need to be altered.
- We complete the works - We replace the felt, tidy up and show you the finished roof. The remaining balance is payable on completion.
Q & A
Does my shed need to be a Frenchmoor building?
No. We also work on suitable timber buildings made by other manufacturers.
What if the roofing boards are rotten?
New felt needs a suitable base. We'll explain any repairs required and obtain your approval before carrying out additional work.
Can every shed be re-felted?
No. If the structure is too deteriorated or access prevents safe working we'll explain why re-felting may not be appropriate.
